In many ways, it still refers to the traditional media and are used as inactive extensions of bigger print or television advertising campaigns. Out of home media has never been fully explored as a great standalone medium for a big impact. Therefore, it is not surprising that most media owners never get involved in the actual communication process. Their involvement begins and ends with the renting out of billboards.
